the story of production
The process of filming began with my actors coming over at my house so we could get started with the first scenes. The opening scene is when the main character wakes up to the noise of static on a TV. Working on the clips for that scene first was important because it set the tone and the plot for the whole film. The next day we went to the beach first to film one scene for the movie. The shadow demon was lurking behind the main character. Then after that location scene wrapped up filming, we moved along to a parking garage to film another location-based scene to allow for more world-building during the film. This is also the same place that we shot the alleyway scene for the movie. Needing an actual ending, we went back to my house a week later, filming the final scene. For the last bit of filming, we had to go back to the alleyway because we originally shot a scene that didn't make sense. So to fix that issue, we did a reshoot of the scene with an alternate ending that integrated better into the plot.
